Andreas G. Frank

Senior Vice President and President, Front Line Care

Andreas G. Frank was appointed senior vice president and president, Front Line Care, in December 2018.

Mr. Frank joined Hill-Rom in 2011 as senior vice president, Corporate Development and Strategy, and most recently served in the additional role of chief transformation officer. Prior to joining Hill-Rom, he served as director of Corporate Development and vice president, Business Development, at Danaher Corporation. He previously worked in the Corporate Finance and Strategy practice at McKinsey & Company. Mr. Frank earned master’s degrees in business administration and economics from the Otto Beisheim School of Management in Germany and The University of Texas at Austin, Red McCombs School of Business, respectively.

Heather McLanahan

Heather McClanahan

Vice President, Finance

As Vice President of finance, Heather McClanahan is responsible for leading the company's global finance team, overseeing all financial matters for the company, aligning finance and business strategies and executing profitable growth strategies.

McClanahan has been with Welch Allyn since 2000 and has held a variety of finance leadership roles in the Skaneateles Falls, NY and Beaverton, OR locations. Before joining Welch Allyn, Heather was controller of Protocol Systems (purchased by Welch Allyn in 2000) and spent 5 years in public accounting at Coopers & Lybrand in Portland, OR and Vancouver, B.C.

Active in the local community, Heather is the Treasurer for the Skaneateles Chamber of Commerce and a board member of the Hospice of Central New York.

Heather earned her her bachelor’s degree in science from the University of British Columbia, and is a certified public accountant (CPA).

Brian Cousins

Brian Cousins

Vice President, Quality, Front Line Care

As Vice President of quality for Front Line Care, Brian Cousins is responsible for overseeing the development and deployment of quality management systems at Welch Allyn and Advanced Respiratory Care.  He is also responsible for ensuring that quality processes are robust, effective and efficient in identifying and mitigating product and regulatory risk while enabling the business to meet key objectives.

Cousins joined Welch Allyn in 2015 following the acquisition of Welch Allyn by Hill-Rom. He joined Hill-Rom in 2013, holding roles as executive director and vice president of quality assurance and regulatory affairs in North America. Most recently, Cousins was responsible for overseeing QA/RA in the Surgical and Respiratory Care Business Unit. He has previous experience in medical devices, combination products and pharmaceutical products at several companies including Medtronic Neuromodulation, Cephalon Corporation, Watson Laboratories and Perrigo, Inc.

Cousins earned his bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Ohio Wesleyan University and his Master of Science in physical chemistry and analytical chemistry from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and the University of Wisconsin-Madison, respectively

Valerie Finarty

Valerie Finarty

Vice President, Operations, Front Line Care

As Vice President of operations for Front Line Care, Valerie Finarty is responsible for leading the manufacturing and supply chain for the Welch Allyn and Respiratory care plants, globally.  She also oversees the overall integration of Hill-Rom and Welch Allyn businesses.

Finarty began her Hill-Rom career in 2011 as the executive director of global fulfillment.  In 2013, she assumed responsibility for the Batesville operations patient support solutions business. In 2015, she briefly oversaw the global operations for surgical and respiratory care.

Prior to joining Hill-Rom, Finarty held various operational and manufacturing leadership roles with GE Healthcare, Bio-Rad Laboratories and other industry-leading companies. 

She earned a bachelor of science in biomedical engineering and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Iowa. 

Nathan LaComb

Nathan LaComb

Vice President, Associate General Counsel

As Vice President, Associate General Counsel, Nathan LaComb is responsible for leading Welch Allyn’s legal function in the provision of legal services across the company and serving as the primary liaison to the broader Hill-Rom legal department. 

LaComb joined Welch Allyn in 2009 as a corporate attorney, transactions and compliance and has held roles as associate general counsel, transactions and compliance and vice president, deputy general counsel and assistant corporate secretary. Prior to joining Welch Allyn, he was in private practice at Potter Anderson & Corroon LLP, a large Delaware corporate law firm, concentrating in mergers and acquisitions and commercial law in service to the firm’s largest clients.

Active in the local community, LaComb is a former board member and coaching coordinator of the Skaneateles Youth Hockey Association and a former board member of the Greater Baldwinsville Ambulance Corps.

LaComb earned his bachelor of arts in economics, summa cum laude, from St. Lawrence University and received his juris doctor degree from the University of Pennsylvania Law School.  

Nicole Hulik

Executive Director, Human Resources

As Executive Director of human resources, Nicole Hulik is responsible for ensuring that Front Line Care has the talent and capabilities it needs to build and sustain a high-performance culture equipped to execute the company’s strategic plan. She leads a team of business partners whose primary focus is to attract, develop, align, engage and retain key talent.

Hulik joined Welch Allyn in 2004 as a talent acquisition specialist early in her human resources career, and has held a wide variety of roles in involving increased scope and complexity throughout her tenure at Welch Allyn.

She currently volunteers as a certified rape crisis counselor for Cayuga Counseling Services.

Nicole earned her bachelor’s degree from SUNY Plattsburgh in Communications. She is certified as a Professional in Human Resources (SHRM-CP) and is a Certified Compensation Professional (CCP).

John Tierney

John Tierney 

President, North America

As President, North America, John Tierney is responsible for overseeing all Welch Allyn commercial business activities throughout the U.S. and Canada. This includes P&L responsibility for the North American business as well as functional management for Acute Care Sales, Ambulatory Care Sales, Sales & Commercial Operations, Sales Enablement, Regional Marketing, Channel Management and Business Intelligence.

Tierney has held numerous sales and sales management related leadership roles throughout his 25 year career at Welch Allyn beginning as a sales representative in 1990. He has built his career through a variety of leadership positions in the U.S., Canada and Latin America. In 2011, John was promoted to his current assignment leading Welch Allyn’s largest business.

John holds a bachelor’s degree from The College of St. Thomas in accounting and completed his Executive Education in Management Development in the Business School at the University of Michigan in 2002. John has served on the Board of Directors for the Health Industry Distributor Association (HIDA) Educational Foundation and Healthcare Manufacturers Management Council (HMMC). He is active in the Skaneateles, N.Y. community where John and his wife Carolyn have raised their three daughters. 

Duane Wiedor

Duane E. Wiedor

Senior Vice President, Product Development

As Senior Vice President of product development, Duane Wiedor is responsible for leading the global functions of research and development, enabling technology projects, new product program management, software architecture, applications and user experience. He is also responsible for partner integration tools and support, remote service delivery tools, health record IT connectivity and international research and development. Additionally, he executes the company's product strategy focusing on providing solutions to meet customers' needs.

Wiedor joined Welch Allyn in 2013 as senior director of global product development and served in this role until 2015. Prior to joining Welch Allyn, he was plant manager at Pittsburgh Glass Works from 2012 to 2013. Wiedor also served in various engineering and operations positions for Honeywell, Molex, TRW and PPG Industries.

Wiedor is active in the Central New York community and serves on the Central New York Veterans Recognition Foundation and the American Heart Association.

He earned his bachelor of science in mechanical engineering from University of Cincinnati and earned his Master of Business Administration from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh. 

Chuck Witkowski

Chuck Witkowski

Vice President and General Manager, Vision Care

As Vice President and General Manager of Welch Allyn’s Vision Care business, Witkowski has global P&L responsibility for the company’s advanced vision screening and diagnostics business. In this role, Witkowski is accountable for strategy, corporate sales, marketing and product development activities for the business. He was appointed vice president and general manager for Vision Care in October 2017.

Previously, Mr. Witkowski served as vice president and general manager of Welch Allyn’s population health incubator since September 2015. Witkowski joined Welch Allyn as director in January 2015 following Welch Allyn’s acquisition of Hubble Telemedical, where he was founding president and chief executive officer. Before Hubble, he was the entrepreneur-in-residence for MB Venture Partners, a life sciences venture capital firm. Prior to MB, Witkowski was the founder and chief executive officer of Protein Discovery, a developer of biomolecular tools for protein research and diagnostics. Protein Discovery was acquired in November 2011.

Witkowski earned his bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Montana, Missoula, and his Masters of Business Administration from the Haslam College of Business at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
