We have and will continue to evaluate the ability of our suppliers to provide compliant parts and to evaluate our products and make changes required in order to comply with all European directives.
The EU Directive on Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) requires that producers of electronic equipment who sell into EU countries:
Label equipment to notify customers that it needs to be recycled
Take back the equipment from customers at end of life
Finance its recycling and reuse
To ensure the correct disposal of Electrical and Electronic Equipment (EEE), when it reaches the end of its product lifecycle and becomes waste equipment, please contact your local Welch Allyn customer service center or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
European Directive 2100/65/EU (RoHS Directive) limits certain hazardous materials in electronic products to the levels shown in table 1 below. Medical device products are required to comply with the RoHS Directive by July 22, 2014, subject to exceptions published by the European Commission. Welch Allyn products will comply with the RoHS Directive in accordance with its scheduled effective dates for medical devices.
