Q:Where can I learn about current job openings with Welch Allyn?

A: All open positions within Welch Allyn are posted on our global careers website. You can submit your profile online via our Current Openings page. Enter your selection criteria, including location and employment status, to begin your search.

Q: How do I apply for positions at Welch Allyn?

A: The best way to apply for a job at Welch Allyn is to submit your resume/cv on our Career Opportunities page. When you submit your resume using the "Apply to this Job" or "Add this Job to Cart" feature, your resume is routed directly to those involved in the hiring decision. You can apply to one job at a time or multiple jobs simultaneously.

Q: Can I submit a unique resume tailored to each position in which I have an interest?

A: You may submit a resume and cover letter tailored to each position you are interested in by selecting the "Apply Now" feature on each job description. This will ensure that your resume goes to the in box of the recruiter for that specific position.

Q: How will I know that my resume/profile has been received?

A: You will receive an immediate e-mailed acknowledgement of receipt of your profile when your submission is complete. This will be sent to the e-mail address provided in your contact information. A Welch Allyn representative will contact you directly if we determine that your skills, qualifications and experiences are a match to our specific needs.

 

By creating an on-line profile, you also have the ability to track the progress of each individual submission to see recruitment status for that position.

Q: Will I be considered for positions other than the ones I have applied for?

A: To ensure you are being considered for all opportunities you are interested in, it is recommended that you apply directly for each specific opportunity. Although we are able to match your skills to those required for other open positions via database searches, if you do not apply directly, we cannot guarantee consideration, as your background may of changed since your original submission.

Q: How long will my resume remain in the Welch Allyn database?

A: Your resume will remain in our database for a minimum of one year. Please be sure to update your profile any time there is a significant change in your information such as name, address, phone, degree or work experience.

Q: What is the typical resume evaluation process?

A: Your information will be submitted directly to our recruiting professionals who has had close communication with the hiring manager regarding scope, role and deliverables of the position. The recruiter will review your skills, education and experience against the requirements of the position you have applied for, and may consider you for other relevant open opportunities as well. You may recieve an email describing the results of that review and you not be contacted if you are selected for further consideration. Should you not be selected for a specific opportunity, your information will be maintained for future consideration as well.

Q: Can I send or drop off my resume directly to a specific Welch Allyn location?

A: You must apply on-line for all opportunities. If you do not have access to a computer at home, you may utilize one at your local library or Department of Labor. On-line processing is more efficient, allowing your candidacy to be considered much faster and with broader visibility.

 

Q: How confidential will my canidacy be treated?

 

A: Your canidacy for any role at Welch Allyn is held under the strictest of confidence. We are sensitive to the fact that many of our canidates are currently working for other companies and do not want to jeopardize their present employment.

Q: If I am interviewing at Welch Allyn, what is the dress code?

 

A: While Welch Allyn has a business casual dress code (and more informal on Friday's), most candidates dress in a manner reflective of the presentation they wish to make, appropriate for the position they are interviewing for.
 
Q: What can I expect during my interview?

 

A: Hopefully a great "journey of discovery" that will be a positive experience. One of the reasons for the very low employee turnover at Welch Allyn is the care taken in the selection process to ensure mutual fit for the current role, potential future role(s) and culture. Your are an equal partner and integral part of this process to ensure you are also comfortable with fit, and are encouraged to ask as many questions as you feel necessary to ensure we lean as much about each other as possible.
 
All positions will have at least one round of interviews, normally with the hiring manager, the "one over" manager, the Human Resources Manager, the recruiter, and employees who know the role and expectations. First round interview will normally take a full day, and may include an orientation tour as well.
 
Q: How many rounds of interviews will there be?

 

A: The higher the position level, and interface with other locations, and cross-functional team members, the more rounds of interviews you can expect. It is very common for a second round of interviews to occur with key stakeholders in the position, customers, or others with vested interest in you success.
 
Q: If I am traveling for my interview, will Welch Allyn reimburse me for my expenses?

 

A: All reasonable travel expenses are covered by Welch Allyn. We utilize a retained travel agency and direct billing agreement to minimize any out of pocket expenses that you might incur.
 
Q: What happens after my interview is complete?

 

A: After the interviews, our team will get together for an integration meeting to discuss your candidacy role. Your recruiter will be in touch with you to discuss outcomes and next steps. The next steps often consist of reference checking and background screening. Our background screening process verifies education and licenses, employment history, criminal history, military status and social security trace. 65 percent of the candidates we interview receive offers of employment upon completion of this process.
 
Q: If I am extended an offer, what happens next?

 

A: Our recruiters will extend a verbal offer to you, followed by your receipt of a full offer package and benefits summary. All offers are contingent of a physical and drug screen. Information on both of these will be provided in the offer package.
 
Q: How long does the recruitment process typically take?

 

A: The length of time for recruitment varies by position. Our thorough hiring process ensures the best overall fit for the current open position as well as the future vision of the company. From the initial creation of the requisition through the acceptance of an offer has an average time of 8 weeks.
